Terri has been working with those affected by trauma for over 25 years and is an EMDRIA Certified therapist.
Before transitioning to full time private practice, she was the Behavioral Health Coordinator for the Vegas Strong Resiliency Center, serving those affected by the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting.
Throughout her education and experience in social work, Terri learned to problem-solve with both creativity and practicality. She developed an eye for seeing people as unique individuals – and a standard for treating others with a high degree of respect. This translates well into the experiential nature of working in the arena.
Terri completed EMDR training in September 2019 and EquiLateral training in March 2021. She has recently transitioned her practice out of the office and solely into the arena.
Terri is licensed in Nevada and Kansas.
Laura has been a Horse Trainer and Riding Instructor for more than 20 years. She became Certified for Equine Assisted Psychotherapy in 2012, and no longer trains horses, but prefers to spend time engaged in the meaningful work of EAP.
She facilitates programming specifically for first responders and veterans.
Laura completed EquiLateral training in March 2021 and has been practicing Arena EMDR for more than 4 years.
“During my training to be an Equine Specialist, I learned something simple and super profound about myself in one 20 minute exercise. It was something that years of therapy had never demonstrated or illuminated. Made me a believer!”
Terri and Laura bring their talents and expertise together for a powerful and unique treatment and training modality that can help you reach your goals.
"EquiLateral", “Equine-Assisted EMDR” & “EA-EMDR" are all terms that refer to the EMDRIA approved training created by Sarah Jenkins, MC, LPC, Cpsychol, in 2011. Therapists trained in this protocol still utilize the standard eight-phased, three-pronged EMDR therapy approach while maintaining treatment fidelity and integrating it with equine-assisted interactions to become Equine-Assisted EMDR Therapy. Arena EMDR is the application of EquiLateral: The Equine Assisted EMDR Protocol ® (EA-EMDR)
