As an accelerated and concentrated form of therapy, an Arena EMDR Intensive offers a focused approach to healing. During your intensive, the focus is all on your goals with the opportunity to focus completely on the process. This focused format for therapy can lead to faster relief and more profound changes because it allows your brain to stay fully engaged in the healing process without the distractions of daily life.
By immersing in longer, uninterrupted sessions, intensives offer busy people rapid symptom reduction and results. Arena EMDR Intensives are available to anyone and are especially convenient for those who:
The presence of horses offers support and helps build confidence for addressing traumatic experiences or exposure. Reprocessing an experience allows us to make sense of it and no longer be disturbed by it.
Intensives offer the opportunity to move in and out of the difficult material fluidly, while simultaneously staying present in the moment.
The goal of an Arena EMDR intensive is to achieve adaptive resolution - an elimination of symptoms related to the underlying trauma - achieving breakthroughs and relief faster than with traditional therapy. It also allows you to invest your time more efficiently, helping you to achieve your goals without the long-term commitment required by weekly sessions. Completion of treatment offers lasting results.
Let us help you design a plan to reach your treatment goals within a condensed timeframe and at a pace that is right for you.
An assessment is included at no additional cost for all Intensive packages. During your assessment, we will identify your goals and establish your schedule.
The first session includes an introduction to us and the helpful herd and an orientation to the setting where sessions will take place. The initial sessions include a review of EMDR, history taking, treatment planning, preparation and discharge planning.
These sessions involve the deeper work and will be used to reprocess the identified life experience or circumstances, reduce the associated distress and integrate emotional processing for long lasting, transformative outcomes.
This session takes place 4-8 weeks after completion of your intensive. We will review your progress and make a plan to address anything that may need additional attention. This session may be done on site, by video chat or by phone.
